THE GENESIS OF A PAINTING
Preparing the background :- wet on wet - watching the paint dry - as it dries it sinks into the canvas and gets much paler. It is fun when you gently shake the canvas to observe the patterns and swirls the colours make as they interact. The above Close-Up Sections show parts of the still very wet canvas.
